VRV—What is it and How Does it Work?
The Daikin VRV is an innovative multi-split system offered by Daikin that uses variable refrigerant flow to offer precise and individual temperature control to different floors and rooms. The name derives from their “variable refrigerant volume” technology, which differs by only circulating the minimum amount of refrigerant needed at any given time.
Unlike traditional heating and cooling systems that require extensive ductwork to deliver air throughout the space—the VRV system is ductless. An outdoor unit is connected to up to nine indoor units—providing precise zoning. This heat pump system can be used as a replacement for a central heating and cooling system or in instances where there is no existing ductwork.
