Rest assured, A1 will take care of all your EV charging needs no matter the type of electric vehicle. We do Tesla, Chevy Volt, Chevy Bolt, Volkswagen Golf, Nissan Leaf EV charger installations and many others. Everything is taken care of from purchasing the EV charger for your vehicle, to setting up your EV charger installation at your home or business – chargers can be wired or plugged into the property.

Electric vehicles have different levels and types of charging that use different voltages (Volts) and amperages (Amps) to run. There are three levels of charging for EVs (see chart below). Level 1 and 2 are used for at-home charging. Most electric vehicles (EV) come with a level 1 charger. This style of charger will plug into any standard 120V outlet with the other end being plugged into your vehicle.

Most of our customers upgrade to the level 2 charger. A licensed electrician is required to help with this setup as this charger needs to be plugged into a 240V outlet, the same type of plug used for a dryer or stove. This charger can be installed in your garage or in the area where you park your car.

What are the benefits of getting a Level 2 Charger?

Faster charging times

Why wait up to 20 hours to charge your car? Level 2 chargers are super efficient and you can get a full charge in 3-8 hours, depending your vehicle and model of charger.

Future proof

As electric vehicle technology evolves; batteries will evolve to have greater capacity. The greater the capacity, the longer it will take to charge. Stay ahead of the curve and upgrade to a level 2 charger now.

Better battery health

Some car manufacturers state that use of your level 1 provided charger is for occasional use only and that level 2 chargers are recommended. Check your owner’s manual for more details.
